Paint Music is all about sharing music that I feel inspires creativity. I am not a music critic and much like painting, I feel the music should speak for itself. For this edition of Paint Music I wanted to highlight two extremely innovative female musicians, Alison Carney and McKenzie Eddy.

Alison Carney is a DMV native and has performed with high profile singers like Raheem Devaughn. Early in her career you could find Carney singing with Maryland based soul/R&B/jazz band YaMama’Nym and has already graced stages in Europe and Asia. McKenzie Eddy seems to be one of those people that can live a double life. For her those lives are successful business woman and talented musician. Eddy is one of the original founders of DD172 along with Damon Dash and is also the current president of Bluroc Records. Make sure to download her album seen below!
