Vibe to it, Rock to It, Create to it

Music and the visual arts go hand in hand. They inspire one another, nurture each other. Sound and color are like brothers each starting where the other has left off.

While painting I am always listening to music. It helps set a tone and gets the creativity flowing.  As Wilson Picket belts out heavy soul vocals paint flies off my brush creating a synergy with the canvas. Both of us putting everything we have into our respective art forms.

All art draws from each other. For me music is an absolute necessity in the studio. In PAINT MUSIC I will be featuring some amazing new and established artists whose sounds will have you seeing colors. Whether you are looking for inspiration at the easel or just a background groove these musicians are sure to please. …Oh and their all FREE streams and some are free downloads!

Here is a recent EP release from Toronto-based singer Jessica Kaya called Imperfections. Kaya considers Imperfections to be a rough draft of her work but in no way does it resemble anything imperfect. Jessica Kaya is not the only musician in her family, her sister is Toronto-based rapper Eternia.

This release from Manhattan Live from the Glitter Dome is slightly dated but I cannot move forward with my posts without mentioning it. Manhattan has a style that stands out amongst the rest and creates music that inspires any artist to be creative. Also make sure to check out Road to Fader.
